Granite is the most common igneous rock found on Earth. As granite is very durable and naturally beautiful, you can create a stunning space that will be enjoyed for years to come. Granite is a hard, dense surface, highly resistant to stains or scratching, and resistant to high heat. It’s commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms, fireplace surrounds, tub decks, shower walls, flooring and stair treads. Granite comes from way below the earths crust, formed by slow cooling magma. It's composed of quartz, feldspar, mica, and many other types of minerals that give granite it’s wide range of colors. Granite is very low maintenance. Regular cleaning with mild soap and warm water is recommended. While we do use a 20-year sealer, high citrus products or acidic cleaners should be avoided in order to keep the finish as vibrant as the day it was installed.
